MBSR is an acclaimed 8 week program founded at the U Massachusetts Medical Centre in 1979. It successfully uses mindfulness practice as the core of a program to teach people how to take better care of themselves and live healthier, more adaptive lives. It has been forged from an integration of transformative Eastern mindfulness practices with contemporary Western scientific understandings of human functioning: neuro-plasticity. This fusion has produced a tailored and verifiable method for treating a wide range of difficulties and enhancing performance and engagement in work and life. The course is geared for anyone interested in meditation to improve their well being and resilience, address anxiety and stress in natural ways.

Our rooms are priced to enable anyone from community groups to businesses to take advantage of our unique setting. They start from $15.00 per hour and we also have special day rates and discounts for not for profit organisations.

The Gallery is able to offer many services to room hirers depending on their needs. We can provide chairs, tables, cups, urns, whiteboards, lectern etc We can also assist by placing an article about your function in our e-newsletter which is sent to around 800 people in the South West Region. Long term hirers will also be able to put details of their bookings and contact numbers on the Gallery's website
We can suggest caterers, cleaners, and other service providers which may best suit your needs.
Many weddings and functions are hosted here at the Gallery. We strive to make your special event run as smoothly as possible. We can assist by providing an attendant to ensure you have everything you need, allowing decorators special access, placing signage around the Gallery and anything else you may require.
We are also happy to assist in any other way so please don’t hesitate to call and enquire as to how we can help make your booking run smoothly.
As Bunbury Regional Art Galleries is housed in a former convent, the Chapel forms a major feature of the building. The Chapel has striking stained glass windows, an antique tiled walkway and vaulted ceilings. It provides a distinct venue for weddings and social functions.
The Chapel is located on the second floor of the Galleries and has disabled access upon request. The room is 2162m and has a choir loft at the northern end.
The Dance Studio is housed on the ground floor of the Galleries and is used predominately for dance classes and workshops. The floors are unsealed floorboards and it has a ballet barre and mirror down one side, making it ideal for all styles of dance and performance classes. The Dance Studio is 60m2 and is accessible from the Arts Complex car park.
The Dance Studio is $20.00 per hour for community groups and $35.00 per hour for business/corporate hirers. Special rates for full day bookings are also available.
The Meeting room is housed on the 2nd floor and is ideal for meetings, training and workshops. It is a smaller room of 20m2 sitting up to 15 people and has a sink to one side.
The Meeting Room is $15.00 per hour for community groups and $27.50 for business/corporate hirers. Special rates for full day booking are also available.
The Galleries enclosed brick Courtyard is ideal for a myriad of events. This space has been used for operatic concerts, dance performances, corporate events and parties. The Courtyard has a very special ambiance with direct access to the Arts Complex car park.
Studio 2 adjoins the Courtyard. The Galleries runs its own art classes, but this space is available for hire for ad-hoc workshops and regular bookings.
Studio 2 is $20.00 per hour for community groups and $35.00 per hour for business/corporate hirers. Special rates for full day bookings are also available.
The Galleries has various rooms available for hire to the public and corporate sector. They are ideal for meetings, cultural activities, seminars, functions and many other activities.
